Default Refletch ???

I am shooting easton carbon express 400's with 2" vanes. I was wondering how to go about refletching without a jig? I know when a fletch comes off while shooting or whatever, the glue residue stays on the arrow. Can you not just mark this somehow befor removing glue, cleaning and reattaching vane? And then clean area and reglue new vane on arrow? Thanks for the input in advance. LT

you can re-glue it without removing the old glue, I've done it several times, doesn't look to good but they seem to shoot ok.

I use fast setting gel and just hold the fletch in place until it sets up.

I was shooting groups the other day, and one of my arrows ripped the fletching off another arrow. I was going to razor blade the old glue off, but your saying this is not necessarily needed?

OK, I suppose you COULD use super glue or some other fast set glue, but how you gonna avoid getting it all over your fingers and not gluing your fingers to the vanes??
Go out and buy an inexpensive fletching jig, personally I use a Grayling ($30) and some fletching and glue. You can build your own arrows extremely easily and inexpensive. In fact, when you go to buy arrows, get them unfletched. They are cheaper than with fletching already glued on, and you get the satisfaction of shooting an arrow you built yourself.

simple don"t put your fingers in the glue. ain't all that hard,do it alot cause I don't feel like breaking out the jig and scrapeing.

I have been strongly considering the fletch jig Mowbow. Thanks for the info. Dang arrows are higher than a cat's back. I will be building my own in the near future.
