I just got an apple archery arrow saw and I believe it runs at 5000 rpm's. I am wondering if this is fast enough to cut my carbon arrows? I thought I heard that you should have at least an 8000 rpm saw for carbons. I hope not cause I really like this saw. Thanks, and good luck this season.

I've been using the Apple 5000 rpm saw for about 4 years now and i've been cutting Gold Tip XT carbon shafts with it every since with no problems at all. I get very clean cuts everytime. There are two types of blades made for that saw, one for carbon and one for aluminium. If you get the one for carbon i really don't think you'll have a problem i know i haven't.
I have had no problems with my 5000 rpm Apple saw. I have cut Gold Tips, Bemans and Cabelas arrows with it. I would email Apple directly and get their advice if you are concerned. And tell us what they told you.
