Ok i just got my tomkat and its set at 63# my arrows i had are carbon force 300 pse dominator i think there 28in and the tip weight is 125 they are 387gr is that enough or do i need other arrows

What are you using the arrows for?

I personally prefer something a little heavier for hunting, but if your spine is correct, I'm sure you can get them to work.

I agree those arrow's sound waaaaay to light for a I'm assuming a 70# bow , I'd definately go with some heavier arrow's . The problem with light arrow's is your consistancy ,and I'm sure if you go to heavier arrow's you'll find that your consistancy is much improved . I'd go with heavier arrow's and a 100 gr head .

Just goes to show how different our recommendations can be. I would definitely not go with a heavier arrow and lighter head. You would be greatly reducing FOC, which is not a good thing for broadhead flight. Of course, I'm usually coming from the point of view, that stable arrows are far more important than speed, or even total weight. The only thing better than a heavy head, is a heavier head (as long as spine is okay).

Well i got the idea off of here.I filled my arrow with silicone:
Here is the skinny[:'(]

Before silicone
28/12 inch 45/60 Carbon Tech Witetail Xp:
373 grains and 299 FPS.
74 pounds kenetic energy

After silicone
880 grains and 125 FPS
30 pounds kenetic energy

The silicone added 530 grains of weight and cost me 176 FPS.I did not shoot this through a chrono to verify,but if Bowtech is accurate with their statement that every 3 grains added will cost 1 FPS then i guess it's close.The reason i did this was to see if adding the silicone.Well i will put it this way i shot two normalidentical arrows through paperat 10 feet and got bullet holes,then i shot the heavy arrow and much to my surprise i got a 3 inch tail left paper tear,so i shot it again and sme thing.I think i will stick with weight tubes.

By the way Trykonstein how do you like those FMJ's?
