Default Well, here's what's new from BowTech for 2003...

The 2003 model year is finally here. This will be just a partial list until I can figure out how to either post the spec. sheet from an excel file or otherwise.

No pictures will be available for approximately 3 weeks.

I'll start by telling you all that for confidentiality reasons there are 4 models that WILL NOT ship until Jan. 1st and should be hitting shops around Jan. 3rd. Those models are

Patriot Dual Cam

Black Knight 2

Pro 40 Dual Cam

Note, all the exsisting bows have also had some subtle changes made to them. Detail's will follow at a later date.

Here's the specs on the new bows for now.

I like the sounds of that Samson.....I used to shoot 85# but had a hard time finding bows in that weight range.....this intrigues me....a 600 gr arrow going 260-270fps!!! I like the sounds of that!!!!

I commented on them over on another post you left but I thought I would mention here as well that I am excited to see some of the new specs/options.

I saw some key words that I would like further clarification on though....

Dual cams, lighter, more brace, faster. This is approaching MY vision of the perfect bow. The line forms behind me.

WOW! Looks like all the pleading and moaning I did worksI'll have to try it on my Wife! It looks like a great line up for 2003 with more options and speed with less weight. Dosen't look like I was too far off the mark on the Patriot I was wishing for. Can't wait to see um "in the dip", thanks, Russ.

Why the range of IBO speed specs, ex- BKII short- 342-350 fps?

What am I missing?

Using KE= VxVxW/450240, that BKII is putting out over 95#s of KE! Holy Crap!

Is it shooter friendly? If so, what a log pusher that would be.

Rangeball, The extra speed comes from being an inch shorter in brace height. The 2002's were the same way if you compared say the 30" short brace BK2 versus the Tall brace 31" they shot the same speeds. same as 29" short versus the 30" tall etc., etc.

Also take note folks that the brace height is now 1/4" longer on both of the BK models than they were in 2002. And yet they retained the same speeds....

The Patriot, Pro 40 Dual and the BK share a new cam for 2003.
