im not sure what type of peep sight i have , but i can't see threw it in low light situations. i end up getting out of the stand 15-20 min. befor shooting time ends because of this. what kind of peep should i be using for low light conditions? i would hate it if i had to pass on a big buck befor shoot time ended because i coulded see threw my peep.
Any peep with a 1/4 inch opening will work for you in low light. I use the hooded super ball peep that has interchangable insert sizes. I take all the inserts out for low light hunting.

ok, i have decided to go with the nite hawk, but i am not sure what size to get. they say the size four one is for the lowest light but im scared it might be to big and i'll lose accuracy. i was wondering with the size three one i will be able to see with it until the end of legalshootingtime and early morning.
Sorry it took so long to reply but the #4 is only 5/32 square and it does the job doesn't have to be big to let the light throughi thought i would not be able to see out of it.
I've tried sizes 4 and 3 in the woods. They both allow enough light at dusk and dawn. The 3 is smaller which of course made for tighter groups. I plan on trying out the #2 peep next fall. Ken at nitehawk recommended against a #3 for hunting but it was as good if not better for letting in light than the industry standard 1/4" round peep I had to begin with. I'd recommend a #3 then go from there. That way you have 2 directions in which to go.
