Default Difference Between Tribute and Allegiance

Another newbie question,

I'm heading to a Bowtech dealer tomorrow and he's got a couple setups ready for me to shoot. My question is: and this may be silly, but what are the pro's and con's of these bows? There's obviously a fundamental difference between the two, because they gave them different names. I went into this thinking I was after an Allegiance, but he only has one in a 60lb draw, where as the Tribute in stockis a 70. It sounds like I can't go wrong with either so long as they're suited for me, but what the heck makes them different and what are anyone's/everyone's recommmendations? I must sound like a moran...

Default RE: Difference Between Tribute and Allegiance

No, you don't sound like a moron. In a nut shell, the Tribute is a short ATA bow (approx. 31") that maintains a forgiving brace height(7 1/2") and produces good speed (315 fps. approx.). The Allegiance is slightly longer (34" approx. ATA), it has a 7" brace height, and is 10-15 fps. faster than the Tribute. It will all come down to what feels best to you. There are guys on here that know much more about the Bowtechs than I do, maybe one of them can help. I recently shot both, along with several other brands and models, and I felt like the Tribute was the one for me. Whichever one you choose, you will have a great bow.

You can check out the entire BowTech line at www.bowtecharchery.com

I went to the pro shop to shoot the Tribute & Allegiance. The pro shop was sold out of the Allegiance. I shot the Tribute & fell in love. I bought the Tribute on the spot.
I do not think you can go wrong with either bow?
