Default Scopes on Bows

Anyone know of a good scope to put on a bow? Or at least a magnifier... Also, I have heard of night vision scopes being put on bows... Anyone mess with scopes? I'm curious and need some info.
Thanks

If your talking about for hunting I wouldn't waste the time or the money. It would just make it harder in my opinion. Plus it would just add to the problems you could have while in the field. Night vision on a bow, why? Never heard of it. Might be good for poaching but I can't see you needing in an actual hunting situation. The electronics might weigh more than the bow.

If you are talking about target type stuff there are several good scopes and sights for that, however they are not like a rifle scope. They use a magnified lens up front and a clarifier peep sight depending on the power of the lens and your eye sight. Not real cheap either.

Paul is right, for hunting, there isn't a need for it. Plus it would add a whole host of its own potential problems in the field. Dirty lens, smeared lens, scratches, fogging, you name it.

If you are talking about target scopes for 3D and spots, there are a ton of options out there. But, like Paul pointed out, its an expensive endeavor. I'm finding this out first hand right now. I am putting together a spot/3D and am looking at buying second hand equipment because its so expensive.

Sooooo true. The only thing I bought new for my spots rig was the stabilizer, rest, and the bow. I got my ants w/ sure loc black eagle swarovski lense for a total of $240 used.

I use Spott Hog Hogg-it's for hunting,3d and spots I have 2 of them and just swap them out.

For hunting I dont use any magnification it's just a pain in the butt if the lens or clarifier fog over

But for spots and 3d I use a 6x lens with a clarifier peep the peep I use is the Speciality Archery hooded ball peep with a #2 clarifier. I can take out the clarifier from the peep when I go hunting.

My new one turned up yesterday so I will snap a pic and post it so you can see what I am talking about.
