Default Feather splicing....(2nd attempt pic) updated

This is my first ever attempt at splicing feathers. It doesn't look bad, but the joint is a little rough.

For you guys that splice feathers, how do you get a clean joint?

Try steaming the feathers to see if the splices will zip up.

This is the second try. I learned alot from the first, and this one looks really good. Thanks for the compliments. I think I may start my own business....LOL.... Edit: Wow, didn't realize how large and fuzzy the picture is. Sorry for the poor quality.
