Default Bowtech?

Hello everyone I am new here been checkin it out and this is a great site!Anyway hope this dont seem like a dumb question but i am shootin a 04 bowtech extreme vft and i love this bow and with my short 27" draw it gives me the speed i like and is very shooter friendly and smooth for the speed it produces.Anyway my question is are the new bowtechs really much smoother or faster to consider sellin the extreme and buyin another one.I tried the allegiance in 05 but did not much care for how the draw cycle felt.I really like the way the tribute looks but just dont know if i would gain enough of anything to justify givin up my vft! Anyway thanks for readin and any feedback would be appreciated!

put a floating yoke on that vft and you'll feel like you got a new bow.

boarbuster, go shoot an '06 Equalizer... 7" brace height and hitting over 300 fps.

And, yes, the '06 Bowtechs are indeed smoother, IMO.

its like the bus cable hoyt uses. the cable loops around the yoke 8" from the axle. makes a big difference imho, specially on bows like mine and yours where the split on a static is around 5-6 inches.

I have a floating yoke from Gibblet on my 04 Patriot Dually ,and I have to agree that it make's the world of difference on my bow .Much smoother to draw and feel's as though your pulling less weight to boot .It's an awsome set-up and work's excellent . By the way ,did I say what a great job Gibblet does on making string's and cable's ,can't wait to try a new set out from gib's new string making and serving machine .hint ,hint.

I have to second what a killer job gibblet does.Super attention to detail, and a awsome serving job. I ordered a set of floating yokes on nubos advice and cant wait to try them out. I have them but am going to wait till after the season to change them out.

I also have an 04 Extreme VFT which I love. I am not one to trade bows just to be shooting the lastest but when I pulled the new Allegiance...........WOW!! The smooth pull cam was unbelieveable. I agree, I didn't like the pull on the 05'sbut the 06's are great. I also have shot the Tribute and like it because of the shorter length for hunting but it pulls alittle harder that the Allegiance.

MyExtreme is set at 65 lbs. with a 28 inch pull. We run it through a chrono and it shootsfaster that the Allegiance which was set at 60. The difference was only about 10fps. Also the Extreme did shoot harder. Could tell but how far is stuck the arrows into the Block.

If I trade, I will go with a 70 lb. Allegiance set at 65lbs. One other thing about the new 06's.............QUIET!!!! Good luck.
