Default Well I'll be ...dipped??

I was talking to a guy yesterday that said one of his friends had his new bow dipped in a waterproofing solution, the whole set-up, bow, string, cables, accessories, etc.. He said the place that did it kept it for 5 days to completely dry out, or whatever, and that when he got it back, it was darker colored, and it seemed to draw easier. By this time I was looking at him like he had just stepped off the moon, and told him I guessed I had never heard of this, and couldn't really imagine the point to it all, even if it was true. So tell me ladies and gents, am I just living under a rock and not keeping up with all the news, or what. Any of you ever heard of this??

No, but new things come up all the time. Then again I was in a gas station one time where a woman came in asking the attendant to change out the winter air in her tires. Seems some service station had found a new way to prey on ignorant women.
