Default Bowstring and rain

I was palnning on hunting tonight but the forecast calls for rain. How does the rain affect or harm the bow. Would it be ok just to wax the string after I am finished hunting or does it significantly dry it out.

please respond

Thanks

keep plenty of wax on your string, that is your only waterproofing. You do not want the string absorbing water, that in turn will alter the way your bow shoots.

Yeh, keep the string waxed all the time. Waxing after it gets wet is doing it backwards.
