Default Mirage or Zero Effect?

I was thinking about getting either the Mirage or the Muzzy Zero Effect for my bow. I've heard great things about both of these rests, but I can't decide on which one to get. How does everybody like their Zero Effect or Mirage? Which one would be best for hunting purposes? Are there any problems that anyone has noticed with any of these rests?

This is just my opinion BUT I have owned both and a couple of others. I would not change my Muzzy zero effect for anything. Every day I shoot it , I'm more impressed. Don

Go ahead and buy the Mirage. I enjoy reading the "I should have bought the MZE" threads.

I like the mirage, it's a nice little rest & is durable. It shoots great and is a lot cheaper than the muzzy so to me the value for the performance you get can't be beat!

Another vote for the Mirage. I really like the Super Scoop rest arm. It grabs, centers and lifts the shaft and also contains it enough so that you don't have to worry about it falling off. It also is lower profile so that you never have to worry about ANY fletch contact on the launcher. I like the fewer moving parts on the Mirage, that adds up to way less bulk which also means less weight which also means it's quieter. It's an all metal rugged rest that will take the abuse of a season in the field and on the 3D course and the simple cord attachment also means I won't have to worry about ANY harness wear as opposed to several harness breakage problems that I've heard about with the MZE. Also as mantioned above, the price. For the money saved with the Mirage that means MORE money to spend on even MORE gear and gadgets.Ther you have it, a quiet, rugged, dependable, consistent rest....... sounds like the one I want to bowhunt with........ what about you???

I tried the Mirage and unless it's been improved I wouldn't recommend it. If you're set on a fall away the Trophy Taker would be my pick right now. Simple and effective.
