Arrow Length

This year I bought a new bow (a Reflex Grizzly), and made the switch from aluminum to carbon arrows.

I purchased a dozen carbon arrows from Cabela"™s and they are full length, 32" and I have a 28" draw length.

I would like to cut them off to 29", but I don"™t have the $ to invest in an arrow cutoff tool, so I was thinking of using my dremel tool with a cutoff wheel. My concern is that I won"™t get a nice straight end and that will throw off the seating of the inserts.
Does anyone have any tips on how I can cut them off accurately?

Should I leave them alone and just use them at 32" or does the extra 3" really make that much of a difference in spine and accuracy?

Any clues?

If nothing else you could always get a proshop to do it for you. Im sure it wouldnt be that much if you took it to the one where you bought your bow.

trust me, DO NOT cut them off with the dremel. I've seen some nasty cut off's working at gander from people trying to do it themselves. GO TO A PRO SHOP!! it's the best way to do it.

I've heard of folks using the mini cut-off saw from Harbor Freight to cut arrows. I believe it retails for $30 and occasionally goes on sale for $20.

Go to a Pro Shop or check around and see if anyone near has one.

Go to the pro shop you usually go to, they might cut them down for free. Or they might charge you a few dollars. I can't see them charging you an arm and a leg to cut down arrows.
