Default Can anyone rec. an arrow/tip?

Okay, heres my set-up: Browning Yukon bow; 27", 55# draw, 75% let-off, shooting with release, most if not all shots will be less than 20 yards. What would you rec. for an arrow/tip set-up? I'm thinking 2117 or 2113 with a 100 grain broadhead?

I'm a little out of the loop with aluminum arrows, but you can log onto www.bowjackson.com and use their interactive charts. That being said I would probably use the .013 wall arrow for the speed, but possibly a 2213. Check the charts to make sure. Just make sure you're not underspined. And the norm these days is a 100gr head, just about any kind so long as it is spin tested and aligned with the shaft.

Those two arrow types have drastically different spine values (stiffness).
Did you mean 2117 and 2213 ? That would seem more on the mark.
Find out which one is right for your bow.

You might want to consider 2314s too. Right in the same spine area as the others, and much lighter than the 2117s.

Your choice of arrow diameter may also be influenced by your choice of fletching. If you want helical or 5" heavily offset fletch, you're going to need at least 23 diameter. That's the second reason I like the 2314s. I'd shoot the 2413s (bigger, and lighter), but they are too stiff for my setup.

Before buying broadheads, get your arrows, and get your bow tuned for them first.
Not just paper, but bareshaft too.
That way, if you have to change point weight to make them work, you won't be left with BH's you can't use.

You need to shoot the 2113 with that set up. A finished arrow should finish out at about 400 grains.

The 2117 is way too stiff and heavy for your set up. It would spine corectly if you were pulling 70 pounds with a 125 grain head at your length.

I don't know who told Bulzeye that you can't put helical fletching on a shaft smaller than a 23xx but I asure you that they are incorrect. It is entirely possible to fletch a full helical on even the small poltruded carbon arrows. You can almost get the fletchings to overlap on the skinny shafts.
