Default Trap door arrow rest noise?

I have a Trap door Mach 4 drop away rest that seems to have a vibration noise. I sent one back in March (used all last season) that seemed to make excessive noise and this one also seems to make alot of noise. I took it apart to look at the innards and the weight inside seems to be free floating except for the slight spring tension, whichupon shooting the weightseems to vibrate between the two pads inside causing the noise. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem or if I got duds. I can hold my bow in my hand and hit it with the other and hear the "rattle". Thanks Chris

I had the same thing on mine - stopped using it and got a MZE - problem solved. Big waste of money on the Trap Door.

I got rid of my trap door after about a week. I have been shooting a TR Drop Zone and absolutely love it.

Default RE: Trap door arrow rest noise?

Thanks for the replies, I think I am going to try a new rest. I actually had it narrowed down to the MZE or the shakey hunter. I read a couple of problems with the elbow on the MZE or is the just a incorrect mounting or overtightening of the nut there. Any pros or cons on the two rest would be appreciated since I am getting one this weekend. Is there any string stretching on the shakey hunter since I will probably only put about 200 shots on it before the season opens Oct. 1st? Thanks for the help, Chris
