Default de-scenting a new ground blind?

I bought a new ground blind (full draw from Cabela's) last week, it sure smells like new plastic. I've got it set up in the sun which seems to be helping to off gas the chemical smell. Will that be enough or should I spray it down with sent away?

Very good question... I was wanting to ask the same question. I just bought 3 and was wanting to put them out for the deer to get used to. I was wondering if spraying down a TSC blind is recommended. Maybe just the outside???? Any takers on this one. Thanks

I'd leave it set up outside for several days before setting it up in the field, should get most of that plastic stench out of it...

Thanks Zac,
I had intended on putting it in place and leave it for a few days before hunting it. It's a TSC blind. I'll take your advice and put it up in our cabin compound to air out. Thanks again...

When I get a new pop-up I scrub it down inside and out with an unscented detergent and then air it out for a few days .

I see no problem in spraying it with some form of scent eliminator. If the inside of the blind is blackened then I would just go with one of those carbon sprays as it would help semi-cover up any of the pin-holes in the material. On the outside I would spray a bit of something like the Hunter Specialities Fall blend, etc.. but I would do it several days prior to the hunt and then just leave the blind outside during that time.

I am not keen on leaving it in the sun though as many of the polyester blinds will fade.
