RE: slick trick and drop away rest trouble
Get longer arrows. The shop where you got your arrows cut should have cut them long enough to use a drop away rest with fixed blade heads. If you adjust the rest so that it comes up earlier then it will stay up longer when you shoot which may result in massive fletching contact.
Even if you are shooting mechanical broadheads the arrows are still too short for the type of rest you are using. The mechanical will still catch on the shelf just as badly.
I would go back to the pro shop and explain that you need new arrows and this time cut them long enough so that your broadheads will clear the shelf. You shouldn't have to pay for their mistake. This is assuming that they measured and cut them and you didn't give them a measurement.
I find that if they are cut about mid point of the riser when you are at full draw this allows plenty of time for the arrow to rise and clear the broadhead over the shelf.
If your blades are loose then tighten the ST more. If the ST is tight against the shaft then the blades will not move around.
