Default Easton Axis 340 Arrows and Broadheads and nocks

I have a few questions for anyone actually, I purchased Easton Axis 340 arrows which are narrower than other carbon arrows, there was a reason for my buying them but my question is will they accept normal broadheads and nocks or would I have to look for specialty ones to fit or does Easton make these arrows fit any broadhead and nock?

I have run into some of the same issues and ended up having to call EASTON. If you are shooting your regular BH you will have to purrchase the EASTON AXIS and SUPER SLIM ADAPATER RING. for any old BH or you can use the new BH that easton worked with NAP, Rocky Mountain and Muzzy to developjust for the new HIT technology.

Good LUCK Glad you started with the 340's looks like thats where I am headed. WHAT is you current set-up just for curiousity sake.

Good Luck

If you use a broadhead with a solid base that has no rings or washers, like a Muzzy, Innerlock or Stinger, you can use them with out the adapter rings. If you choose a broadhead with rings or washers, like a thunderhead, slick trick, or most any mechanical, then you need the adapter rings.

The nocks must be "X" nock for the Axis arrows. A typical Easton super nock or Beiter nock will not fit.

To: twister360: 1st off what is BH? My setup is a Martin Magnum, top o' the line HHA Site,Trophy Ridge Drop ZoneArrow Rest (which I love).I shoot w/ a release.72lb draw, 28-29" draw length. funny note: Recently entered a tournament, they mistakenly put me in the pro-shoot when this is my 1st yr. and I placed in the top ten out of about 40 shooters. Hoorah!
So, I don't have to replace my broadheads, just get adapter rings you say? Will Aluminated nocks work w/that? Do they make adapters for those?

bigbulls: (nice name by the way...)

Thanks for your reply. Is there an adapter ring for specialty nocks like Tracer or Illuminock? I was shooting Gold Tip Expeditions, which are great arrows, maybe I shoul've just stuck with them. Should the Pro-shop supply those adapters when I buy them through them and have 'em dipped and fletched and everything?

I don't know of any adapter for the standard sized nocks. Until they come out with luminocks for the axis arrows you are pretty much stuck with the x-nocks. The only adapters I know of are only for the broadheads.

No the pro shop shouldn't supply them for free but he should have some to sell you. They are not included with the arrows.

Just a note on the adapter rings. Easton is very proud of those rings. 17.95 for 12 made of machined AL weight 2 GR.

Good luck to you!

I would think you could use the adapter rings from NAP or from Innerlock. They do the exact same thing as the ones from Easton.

High mountain archery has them for 3.95 per six.

There are Lumenocks for the Easton Axis arrows. (I think they probably fit the Super Slims as well.) I saw someone selling them on eBay about a couple of weeks back. I was tempted, but those things are awfully expensive.
