Default What kind of Arrow??????

I am returning to archery after 8 years of MIA. When I burned out I was heavily involved in 3D and hunting. At that time the arrows to shoot tournaments with were ACC's and ACE's from Easton, with primary hunting arrows being aluminum. I am needing to purchase some new arrows for my new bow and am quite confused[&:]. Aluminum or Carbon??? I have shot aluminum for years and bought some cheap carbon's from Bass Pro last year. The problem with those was if you hit a nock with another arrow it destroyed the whole arrow that was hit. What arrows would you guys recommend for my setup??? Hoyt Xtec 28" draw 64#, Quicktune launcher style rest, D Loop with release.

Get some nice carbons , for your set-up Blackhawk Vapor 4000 or 5000's will work just fine..

welcome back to the sport..

I'd go with a decent carbon such as Beman, Gold Tip or Easton. Of course there is nothing wrong with good Easton aluminum shaft either.

I've shot CX 3D Selects for thelast 3 years....they shoot goodand are very durable....at least compared to the Blackhawk Vapors I previously owned. I put weight tubes in them for hunting, gives them a little more whack when they hit something. You'd probably need 300s.
