There's a string wax I got kinda partial to - especially for waxing my cables - when I was shooting my compound regularly, called Black Lightning. It's impregnated with silicone and graphite. Regular ol' Textite wax would scrape off and build up on the cable slide. The Black Lightning never did that. I think it helped the cables slip through the slide easier. I liked to use it on my string loop too.
Now that you mention it I noticed the gunk around my cable slide the other day. I use the regular Textite was. I'll have to give the Black Lightening a try.
bcy ml-6. its great balance between black lightnin and textite. its got the silcon and more body to it than the black lightnin.
