Default 4" feathers vs. 5" feathers

Been thinking about going from a 4" helical feather to a 5" helical feather fletching. Has anyone noticed much of a difference in accuracy and arrow flight by going to a larger feather, especially in BH flight. Any info would be appreciated.

You will get better flight from 5" feathers than 4" feathers with fixed broadheads , on low wind days . Ofcoarse you can put 4 4" feathers on as opposed to 3 and do the same thing allso

CC, if you are shooting a mechaincal release shooter stay with the 4". You will get faster arrow rotation with 5" but you will also substantially increase drag. If you are a fingers shooter, the 5" are better suited for hunting.

The 4 inch feather will provide all the control you will need with "typical" size fixed blade heads such as a Muzzy 100, stingers, slick tricks, etc...

If you were shooting a very large head such as the old thunderhead 160's then a 5 inch feather may be required.
