Are the butane cartridges on the thermacell refillable?

I believeyou just buy new ones. I have one but have only used it a few times.

When you buy the refill you also get the 3 pads that go with it. The pads last 3-4 hours and the butane cartridge lasts about 12, so they go together.

I haven't tried to refill one but it would be nice if you could. I find that the 3 mats outlast the butane.
