Default what kind of rest?

I have a bowtech 2003 patriot I had a QAD ultra rest on it but had problems.when I first put it on I used the bowtech cable slide to put the string from the rest through and double knotted it and burn the end.but after about 50 shots the rest quit coming back and wasn't dropping.I called QAD and he said that the string usally stretchs.I didn't like that idea.any sugesstions?brad

I've got an '04 Patriot and have no complaints for the Drop Zone that's on it. From what I've seen, most Drop Zone users are happy with their rests.

I also shoot an 03 Patriot single cam. I have an APA Twister Safari drop away that attaches to the cable slide, no problems, total containment and totally silent. The only other rest I would consider is a Bisquit.

I recently went through the same problem your having. I trying using a drop away rest and found that for some reason it was very consistant. So i went back to my Quick tune 3000. I find that it works the best and its really quite, in all types of weather conditions.

I started with a Shakey Hunter on my Allegiance, but found that it didn't like how it would come up too fast at the end of the draw cycle. I had to draw very slowly and carefully to keep the rest fromflipping the arrow off the rest. I switched over to a Muzzy Zero Effect and absolutely love it. It's quieter than the SH, and I have no worrys about a rope breaking or flipping a broadhead tipped arrow off the rest as I draw the bow on a deer.
