what size hex screw typically holds arrow rest in?

I have a friend that has a Jennings bow. I'm not exactly sure why at the moment but he needs a longer hex screw than what came with the bow to support his arrow rest. The diameter and thread spacing seems to be fairly consistent across manufacturers so I was wondering if someone could give me a gestimate of on the measurements of this screw so I can add 1/4" to the length and order him a new one from some where.
I hope this question makes any sense at all.

I've got a mess of them! They are 5/16 X 24 thread and one inch long, not counting the pan head. I'll send you one if you send me a PM and address.

Or you can walk into any hardware store and buy one. It'd cost about the same as a postage stamp and you'd have it right now.

Not all hardware stores will carry panhead screws this size. I order all my specialty fasteners from barnhillbolt.com
