Default RE: STS Question?

I put one on my bow and am happy with the results but i've heard others say they didn't like it at all--it would be nice if you could try one first and then decide if you want to spend $40.00.

Obviously, a lot of it depends on your bow. I have one on my Buckskin and it does make a difference, especially in eliminating string twang. If you buy one, make sure you get the correct model; e.g. front mount or back mount (I don't know the Renegade well enough to know whether you have a mounting hole on front and back of the riser or just the front). Also, you have to play with them to find the right distance between the string and the limbsaver. For my set up, 1/16 of an inch is where it performs best. For others, it may be right on the string or a quarter inch away. One comment I have read from a lot of folks is that they didn't think it was doing anything for them,so they took it off. It only seems to take a handful of shots after they pull it off that they put it right back on.
