Default Brace Height?

What is the brace height suppose to be on the 04 Patriot VFT? I know what mine is and what is has been but when I pulled up the 04 manual on the website it told me something completely different so I am trying to see if it is me or the manual that is off and what the Patriot's that you all have or have shot are set at.

Default RE: Brace Height?

The book says 7", but mine always measures a smidgen more than that. Anywhere from 7-1/16" to 71/4" from grip to the front of the string I am right at about 7 1/16" right now.
If you roll the cam in or out it will also change the B/h measurement. make sure the cam timing marks are on when you measure. The 7" is also measure with a maxed out bow, so if you let off the poundage some the ata will come together and ease up on the brace some.

The ATA on this bow is listed at 33", but If I try to put my bow at the 33" max marker it freaking draws 75-77# maxed out! (depending on the string I'm usuing). 33 3/8" is the only way I can get it to max out near 70#. Right now I've got it at 33 1/4" and maxing at 75.
I pulled 2 turns out and am shooting at ~66.5#

I don't really like it there, but that is where it is tuning at- so I'm stuck there for now.
At 33 3/8" I was getting no-where tune wise and balder by the minute!

So take the 33" for what it's worth, the owners manual has definate typo's in it. The string and cable length's are off ( according to my string maker who taked with Bowtech about the length change between the 04& 05's- same bow.)

Thanks Dave. The 04 manual on the website says the brace for the 04 Patriot is 7 3/4.[&:]I knewmine was 7" but it got me wondering did they change the specs up on some of the later bows or was it just a typo in the manual.

Definate typo # 79!

Yeah,I think the 7 3/4" was for the dual cammed model.

Ihope they have gotten an editor for their 05 and upmanuals that knows something about what they are selling and not just using a spell checker.
