Default Gold Tip sizing ?

I'm about to order a dozen of the pro hunters. Im shooting 68 lbs at 28 inches with a 100 grain head out of my Darton. I fall well within the 5575 spine chart. I mostly hear everyone talking about the 7595's. I don't wan't to have a week spine issue. Has anyone shot both? The chart says I should be ok with that length of arrow. What to get?

If you are borderline, it's best to be slightly overspined. But, if you are well within the limits, and don't plan on upping the poundage, you should be fine.

What year and model of bow and how long of an arrow? Or better yet do you know how fast it shoots and how heavy the arrow was? Any arrow, it doesn't have to be the one you are planning on getting. I can run it on some archery software and check it for you. From what I understand the Goldtip charts are off on the weak side. Not to mention they are pretty generic to begin with.

Another thing to consider is the minimum weight point you want to use. If you really want to stick with 100gr points and the 5575's turn out to be weak spined for that point you may be forced to go to a lighter point. IMO, I'd rather start with a slightly overspined arrow and then move up to a heavier point if I had to than step down to a lighter point. If you shoot a release then an overspined arrow is much better than an equally underspined one.

ohbowhunter, i shoot a legacy at 70 lbs, the arrow i use is a gold tip hunter xt, it is 55/75 at 28" and i use a 100 gr. head they shoott bullet holes in paper! so they will work fine for your set up.
just think about it if you plan on useing 125 heads, u might want to buy 75/95.
just my .02

I shoot a Darton Tundra 67 lbs. 28 1/2 in. draw with Gold Tip 55/75's and a
125gr. tip. They fly very well. I tried my Gold Tip Pro's 75/95's with the same
set up(125gr.tips) and they do not fly as well. Why? I do not know. I am using
a Ripcord drop away on the bow. The XT 55/75's just fly better for some unknown reason. I would buy one of each and try before I bought a whole
dozen. JMHO.

Gold tips have a pretty high variation in spine among a dozen. There will probably be a few 5575's stiff enough, but most will not be. In my opinion, the 5575's are not borderline for your setup - they are too weak.

I gotta agree with Straightarrow here. I've got a dozen in my basement that have been tried with 4 different bows , including lighter tips , and there just too weak.
