Default time for a new rest! what do you think?

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...results1.jhtml my current set up uses the whisker biscuit and carbons. before that i used a fork type rest and alluminum arrows and accuracy was way better especially from 25 to 35 yards. i want to see if a new rest will bring it back to specs. i can throw some old alluminums down also. i want a full containment type rest. any other options?

You had to go and open up another can of worms with this question, didn't you?

I switched to a drop away rest 3 years ago and have never looked back so I can't comment on the one you have linked.

As for me, I have finally gotten my QAD Ultra Rest tuned and it's a dream. I had to increase the spring pressure so I did not have fletching contact due to arrow speed. Total containment and it's quiet to boot.

I like the looks of that NAP rest though it is difficult to see in the picture what the contact points of those top two "launcher arms" are shaped like. Hopefully the provide enough fletching clearance.

I had some clearance issues with my 4" QuikSpins with a slight right offset, so I switched over to the 2.25" QuikSpins and couldn't be happier. My arrows are shooting great, the rest is pretty much fool-proof with no moving parts or stuff to break, it's quiet, and holds my arrow right where it needs to be. They have upgraded the post cap for better containment since that photo was taken. I switched mine over this weekend and didn't miss a beat.

I am testing the APA Twister Safari SL which is a full containment drop away. Absolutely silent and full containment. Check it out.

its gonna be tough giving up my beloved whisker bizcut but with some future hunting trips that might happen out west i gotta consider better accuracy a little further out. i cant even shoot a bow anymore with just a fork rest so i need containment. guess ive gotten lazy with control and keeping the arrow on the rest after years of the WB. whats nice is my old biscuit will go on my nieces bow because i feel its a fool proof safe rest for youngsters just starting out.
