Default which manufacturers tell the truth (mass-weight)

The mass weight of my new bow is eight ounces (half-pound) over the manufacturers advertised specification.Do you think this much variance should be accepted and without naming the company yet do all bow manufacturers deflate their mass weight specs. to this degree? Thanks for any input
