Default helppppppp !!

just got my new Bowtech Patriot, shooting off of a ripcord rest.everything set up nice tune ok BUT my 4' vanes are rubbing against my cable at rest so I assume they are on release too. The Liberty I traded back in had the same problem. Any ideas??If I move the rest over any further my center shot will be off.

First of all if its tuned and shooting well, dont worry about it. If you want to be sure that it is hitting badly, put powder or lipstick on the vanes or cable, and see if it is badly smudged or wiped away after a shot. Easiest fix without re-tuning the bow is to adjust the cable guard or use a different cable slide. Next would be to switch to feathers. Either that or fiddle with the tune. You may be able to move it out just enough to clear.

HOWEVER, like I said, if it shoots well, and is tuned....just leave it. We (as in archers) have a tendency to fiddle with stuff to make it "perfect". Usually we just hinder ourselves.

best of luck---Matt

Another option is to see if by turning your nock you can get rid of the fletching contact.

Oh sure, take the easiest easy route....thats no fun. HAHAHAHA

Yeah turning the arrow nock is another good option that slipped my mind. And your shooting a drop away so your nock tuning can be pretty unlimited.

Good job Redline!

Just out of curiousity, what is the measurement on your centershot setting?

I had the same problem with my Liberty. An aftermarket cable slide fixed the problem.
