Default HELP ON THE PURCHASE OF A NEW BOW

HOYT VTEC OR THE MATHEWS SWITCHBACK...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I WANT TO PURCHASE A NEW BOW AND NEED SOME HELP. I AM 53 YEARS OLD AND HAVE BOW HUNTED FOR OVER 20 YEARS. I CURRENTLY HUNT WITH A BLACK DIAMOND THAT IS ABOUT 7 YEARS OLD, I CHOSE THIS BOW BECAUSE OF A OLD FOOTBALL INJURY TO MY LEFT SHOLDER AND THIS BOW IS EXTREAMLY LIGHT BEING 100% CARBON (LESS THEN 3 lbs) . I AM CONSIDERING THE HOYT VTECH AND THE MATHEWS SWITCHBACK AND WANT TO HEAR SOME OBJECTIVE OPINIONS ....I AM INTERESTED IN SOMETHING FAIRLY LIGHT ..SOMETHING I CAN PULL AT ABOUT 55 LBS ( I CURRENTLY HUNT AT 65LBS ) AND SHOOT ABOUT 260 FPS .... SOMETHING THAT BREAKS SMOOTH ...DOES NOT CREEP EASY ...MINIMUM HAND SHOCK AND TORQUE ...ALSO WHERE CAN I GET MY BEST PRICE ON EITHER BOW ... THANK YOU GUYS FOR YOUR INPUT.

You maybe suprised at how easily the new bows pull. I personally don't like the games Mathews play (tried to find out about them over the net and couldn't because of some crap or other).

I don't think you can go wrong with either. If there was a clear winner they would charge even more than they do and we would never be able to touch one. Keep both guessing for all of our good.

Ya know, if we all went out and bought brand X then brand Y would drop their price and we could shoot both for a lot less and not have to decide on one or the other. HMMMMM.

I shoot MATHEWS and can tell you they are heavy---i don't think they make a bow under 4lbs. bare bow.I know nothing about HOYT so i can't say anything about them---have you looked at PARKER bows?I think they make the lightest bows in the business.
