I have seen guy's asking about these in the past so I thought I would add a little info.
Bought the kids an Alpine bow and it came wiith no sound dampening. My daughter was shooting it and it made quit a crack when shot, so I took the alphas of my Hoyt and installed them on the bow.
I think the biggest concern with using the alphashox on a non hoyt bow is the limb spacing.
If your limbs are normally closer together than the hoys (< .7") then the alphas will serve to continually push the limbs farther apart. This can cause binding of the cam axles, twisting of the limbs and many other rather nasty problems.
For split limb bows with < .7" limb spacing I would suggest you use the Ultra Limbsavers instead. There is nearly no diffence between their performance and the alphas.
