Default please help guys , determining ones draw length.

Hey guys maybe you can help me out, what's the easiest way to determine ones draw length at home? I shoot with a crossbow due to my disabilities and am trying to get my brother to start hunting with a compound bow, what is the proper way to determine his draw lenth, measuring what to what? I want to set him up the right way, thanx so much in advance.

First of all you need the release he plans to use and bow. Keep string in front of face and find anchor points such as nose and side of face. Sometimes different releases will change your draw length. I recommend good pro shop.

Here's the "Wingspan" method. Using this for myself, my wife, and Diane Watson, this formula comes up exactly one inch short. So, whatever you come up with add an inch to the final draw length to get ya real close to what you're going to need.:

"Measure ,in inches, your wingspan (fingertip to fingertip of arms stretched out to your sides at shoulder height). Subtract 15. Now divide by 2. It should give you a good place to start from. It works dead-on for me. Let us know how the results compare to the other way you were measured."

Hope this helps. BE safe.
