Default shot the Blazer vanes

I was at the local shop last night and the guy talked me into trying the Blazer vanes on a few arrows. He re-fletched 3 of my carbon arrows with 2" Blazers that had standard 4" vanes on them. I also went with 4" inch wraps on the arrows. Since the Blazers are so much lighter, I could still add the 9 grains of the wrap and still be less than standard 4" vanes without a wrap. They look awesome and when I shot them this morning, I was very impressed. My groups were considerably smaller.

I would recommend these to anyone, my only reservation would be to check to see if you have clearance. The Blazers are a little taller than standard vanes. I use a drop away rest, so there is no problem on mine, but if you use a non-drop away rest, it may cause a proble? Maybe not.

I also have him making me a half dozen of the PSE Radial X-weave Predators (.003) with the 4" wraps and the 2" Blazer vanes. Can't wait to use those on the hogs in July!

Gotta love them Blazers . I shoot them as well and agree they fly awsome at 40 yards I am hitting a 50 cent size dot 9 out of 10 shots with broadheads ......

The amount of noise the arrow doesn't make while flying through the air is what amazes me most. When i shoot a blazered arrow back to back with a duravaned arrow there is a big difference IMHO.

The only bad thing I have heard about Blazers is dealing with broadheads that are in the 140+ grain area.. When using the smaller heads I have heard nothing but good things about them.

I am undecided yet. My 4" fletched arrows and Blazer fletched arrows shoot side by side, so I just need to decide what I want my FOC to be. But I am very impressed with their toughness!

I have now shot my Blazer arrows a couple of hundred times. Shot through my target about half that time and even through the basketball that we kick around for practice with the judo points. The Blazers still look brand new! Not a ripple or cut in the vanes. A hundred times better than the standard vanes.
