Ok, try this......go to My Computer, then Control Panel......then Internet Options.....Click on the "advanced" tab at the top of the window. At the bottom right, click on Restore Defaults, then Apply and OK.

I hope this helps!

This version of chat uses the same java version as the last.

If you go to Add/Remove Programs in your control panel

What version of Java do you have listed?

If you do not have 1.4, uninstall all other versions then download and install this version.

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html

This info was straight from the administrators......Good Luck.

WIN XP also had a built in popup stopper....do you know how to find that? On my system is it a little icon that looks like a piece of paper with an exclamation point. It should be near the little "earth" icon that says INternet. The only times it is visible is if you are visiting a site that has popup ads. If you see it, just point to it and it will let you know is popup blocking is enabled or not.

If you don't have it on your system, but have any other type popup blocker, you have to disable that to get into chat.

Hope this helps....we can only keep trying!!

Paula

I couldnt find a pop up blocker like you were talkin about. I went to java's website and tried to download java but it kept sayin I need to download ActiveX Control, so I downloaded that and it let me download the java installation files but it wont let me install it because it couldnt find some kinda network.

So far I have managed to get to the chat log in page but it keeps sayin I need to download java which I have done but it wont let me install the download.

I give up. Everytime I try to fix my problem on here, it opens up a server error on another site and the other way around.

I am so sorry you are having such a problem.....several others are also.

I found that when I got to the chat login page, it had some software for Digi that I had to click on. So when I clicked on it, nothing happened until I disabled my popup blocker. After that a 2nd gray page comes up asking if I want to RUN the software and once I clicked run, the login came up, I signed in and was in chat. That is why it is so important to know if there is a popup blocker on there somewhere that you are unaware of. I never knew I had one til the problems started. The WinXP popup blocker came as an update about a month ago.

Delete any Java that you have on your system and start over.....using the link above...

Good luck
