Default How do I copy someones previous text

How do I copy or cut and paste someones post or something they said
in a post back to my post so i can reply to what they said?.

I have tried the cut and paste and it does not work for me.

I can see everyone does it by the text is highlighted and in a box, but I
dont know how they are doing it. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Like that?
First you lightlight the part you want to copy by holding down the left button on your mouse and draggin it across the words you want. Then right click once on it and click on "cut" or "copy". Then when you go to post, first click on the gray button that says "quote". This will pop up: . Using the left button on your mouse, click smack in the middle of . Then right click once, and click "paste".

Example: [quote]Everything I have typed here would show up in a box.[quote]

The words you highlighted in the beginning should now show up in box when you post. You can click "preview" first to make sure.

***This was funny! Everytime I tried to explain this, and used [quote] with a small "q" as an example, everything I typed after that came out in my post as a quote on a box! Very confusing! So I had to use capital Q's in [quote]. When you hit the "quote" button, they will be small q's. The computer was just too darn smart for me!

Yes, I think I got it.

Thanks, Hntngirl

Looks like I did it twice somewhere in the process!

I"ll get it figured out now that you have me pointed in the right direction.

Thanks again.
