Default Avatar Photo shop

Anyone here know the name of the photo editing program that will allow you to resize your photo to post online? There was one that someone here recommended and the name escapes me.

I use Microsoft Paint.

I use a photo editing program called "The GIMP", which means The GNU Image Manipulation Program. It's free, but it's fairly powerful (meaning a bit complicated). However, if you only want to resize and brighten and crop pictures, it's not too tough.

It runs under Windows and Linux. www.gimp.org/
