Default HuntingNet Tech -- An Introduction

Hi, just wanted to introduce myself. I've been posting as "admin" for the last day or so, but I figured it was time to adopt a moniker with a little more personality (or cheesiness, depending on your aesthetic preferences).

I'll mostly be monitoring the tech forum, and am the fellow in charge of making sure the site works smoothly. There's a whole team of developers, webmaster, sys admins, and database administrators that will do various work on the site from time to time, but I'll be the primary point of contact for tech issues on the site. If you run into any technical problems on the site -- whether something's not working like it should, or any other tech issues -- I'll be keeping track of this forum and will be the person addressing new issues posted here.

So here's to things rolling smoothly...

I go this notice, and I got a "mod mail" from Calhunter a few days ago, but it seems only a few of us got it.

One thing I started noticing yesterday--it could be my computer, but HNI is loading MUCH slower than usual.

I'll do the trouble ticket next.

That is good to know we can get an answer. Welcome ibby!

As posted below the Chat room is still not working.

Just tells me invalid Username or Password -

I tried deleting all the cookies from my end and ever deleted Java and reinstalled it. Still is down.

Welcome. Site is slow, adds are annoying. Been a long time since it worked right. You are loosing a bunch of original posters to other forums. Do a search on this subject to find all the threads pertaining to these issues. Bunch of PO people that are left.

I'm not sure how widespread this is, but this site has been extremely slow loading pages for me since the migration. Actually not all pages, but at least 50% of all pages seem to hang... and I have to hit the IE "stop" and "refresh" options (sometimes have to do this multiple times) to load the same page.

I enjoy this site ... anything you can do to helpwould be appreciated!!

Thanks... Rob

Just go into one of the forums you want the thread to appear in, should be a button to click on, that will say new thread upper left.
