How do I post a profile pic?

I' ve tried to post a profile pic since the forum first offered the option and can' t seem to do it. After I select the pic from my hard drive and click to upload it, I get a message stating " there was an error saving file to disk" . I have sized the image to 290 x 290 and is only 28 kbs in size. Anyone have any suggestions?[:' (]
