Default Avatar Picture file too large

I am trying to put a new picute in my avatar but it says the file is too large. What do I do?

Reduce it to 150 X 150. Go to "My Pictures" in your puter and then Right Click on picture and go to "Resize Picture" and choose "Custom" and add the size.
