I tryed to upload my avatar, and if failed to save to disk//
Its a jpg format and smaller than the required size...

In "My Profile" under avatar setting, click "upload my picture...will replace the existing one".
Then below that.. Setup Profile Photo...Then upload my picture..(will replace my existing one).
Let me know if this doesn't work....
