Nice Looking Mounts, what do you use to get that glossy white look?

heres one i did my self,

I just got through doing one for a customer but I'm not a taxidermist. But i got this euro mounts figured out. I kinda like the powder white color of the way mine come out (more natural), over the shiny gloss white of the way you do yours. But very nice none the less.

Good looking mounts guys. XRex, if you don't mind me asking, is the base of your antler bleached out because it was below the water level when you boiled it? Someday I may make my own European mount and I was curious as to how yours got like that.
Thanks.

Wow, good eye ! yes thats exaclty what happens. this was one of my own mounts and I didnt tape up the horns before the boil. But thats all you have to do to prevent this, tape them up and or touch them up with wood stain.
