Default PA Bear Mount Question A to B

I never got a mount before and i don't know the correct procedures to getting one done. I'd like to get a full body mount. I'd like to be prepared if i do get a bear this year. Starting from the time i shoot it to the time it goes to the taxidermist. Fill in the blanks. Thanks!

First,go to the PGC bear check station,Get it taged and aged.If you go to a butcher, they will skin it out???????? If you must skin it,the feet and head must be left in the hide!!!!!!!!! Skin it down the center of the underside, from under the jaw to the butt hole. Next, down the under side[middle] of each leg{4 of them} from the main center cut to the ankle and remove the feet atached to the skin. Is this as clear as MUD??????????
Go on the net and look up taxidermy or Bear skinning,it should be there some where, with a photo.
If you are sure to be getting it mounted, see if the taxidermist will do it.

I took mine from the check point to the taxidermist and he skinned it out. He arranged for the butchering. That was Keller down in Benton.

BarnesX did Keller do a nice job on yours? I live in Hunlocks Creek not far from there. I was looking at a guy in Wilkes-Barre maybe.

Keller did an excellent job. We have a few animals done by him. I stopped going to him, though, as was getting too expensive. I believe I paid $1300 for my bear back in 1996. The last few deer heads we got mounted we got done by Dave Sorber. I'm sure you know where he is - on 118 near Sweet Valley. He does a nice job and is a little cheaper than Keller.
