Congrats on your first buck! I prefer European mounts now to shoulder mounts. They are less expensive, take up less space, and you can do it yourself if you spend the time. This one was done with Beatles.

You can order this whitening kit and euro plaque and it will give you a great first buck to look at. I just did two of them and it was very simple and they both turned out great. The plaques are solid oak.

That is amazing! There are only two of them left (Ringo and Paul) and they are both vegetarians.

I have heard of using beetles before but the use of Beatles is new to me.

Sorry - I just could not help myself.

I got my first one european mounted several years back and I am very happy I did even though it was not a big deer at all. Are you planning on doing the entire skull (european) or are you doing just an anlter mount? If I were you I'd do the full skull. If you end up not liking it later you can always still cut the skull cap of and do the antler mount

EDIT. Oops just seen ya finished already. Looks good. For your kits Check out www.mckenziesp.com or
