Default Taxidermy Question

I would like to save these antlers, I didn't shoot the deer but they have sentimental value (long story) Here is my question, can these antlers be mounted on another skull (european mount) the antlers were split, I used a plaster to put them together but I don't really think it looks very good. Thanks Doc

I have used uncle mikes mounting system you get through Cabelas. the mule deer I did looks great . No one ever knew it was plastic. good european mount. any good taxidermist can remount those antlers. But they charge way too much and they take forever.

You may try an artificial deer skull from McKenzie Taxidermy Supply.
Here are a couple of different ones.
Just remove the antlers from the skull plate and attach to the artificial skull. Instructions are included.

DocD: Your mounts display well on that type of wall. I don't think I would use a plaque
unless you were planning to add a name, year tag or discription. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice bucks Doc! And yes, the one you did looks great. I agree about not putting a plaque on them, they look great right on the wall as is. Where you from...man those are some nice bucks you've taken for sure.
