How do i field dress if/when the big buck goes down?

What do i do different in field dressing?

What all do i leave for the taxi?

I want to save as much meat as possible...

And as far as looks of mount, just a standard neck out of the wall, nothing fancy.

What is the process after the kill, my freezer isnt big enough for a big rack and head, but i dont want it to go bad (or whatever it does) so do i call a taxi when i get home and drop it off that day or how does it usually work?

thanks thats what i was looking for, so 4 inches behind the chin is enough? i thought id need more (of the deer not skin.)

Nope, don't need much neck meat at all, in fact for me the less the better.

Do you butcher yourself or take to a shop? If you take it to get butchered, you just tell them you are getting a shoulder mount.
