I guess it really depends on what your image of a basic display is?

There are some very basic Do It Yourself Antler/Horn mounting kits available from numerous suppliers.

Do some research before you buy, many basic display kits are a "Generic Package" containing a particle board plaque with a veneer wood grain wallpaper finish, a styrofoam/fabric cover or rubberized skullcap cover, mounting hardware and maybe a few inches of decorative twine.

When it comes to saving a few dollars on a quick basic display that your wife makes you hang out in the garage, you may end up being very disappointed.

Versus having a Professional Antler/Horn mount done with quality high grade materials, for an impressive individual design that you would be proud to display next to all your other trophies.

When it comes to Basic, You will get what you pay for.

Check out these two photos of a 175" Mule Deer Rack with a 27" spread. The guy originally had a taxidermist do a "Basic Antler Mount". After they hung in the garage for several years, he came to me to have them refurbished and remounted, he now has them displayed in a place of honor above the fireplace mantle.
