Default Taxidermy competition entries......

My taxidermist is putting these in a competition next weekend......the deer are mine and my hunting partners. What do you think? Compared them to hundreds at our deer show.

Competition is a whole new ball game exspecially comparing competition stuff to a deer show board because 90% of the stuff hanging on those walls is junk and wouldnt even get a 2nd or 3rd place ribbon in the commercial division at competition. You really can't tell anything from pics like this with competition. Commercial division they would probably get a 1st but in the open/pro division they could range anywhere from a 4th to a 1st because there is so much more that goes into a comp piece than what you see here in the pics. Most guys don't like to post pics of their comp stuff before competition but not all. The judge will give him a good critique and if he is going to the iowa show Mark will be judging them and will give a good critique. If it is the IA show I'll see them down there. Finishing up another mount to take there as well as 3 I had at the WI show. Either way no matter how he does with them they are in the upper category for a commercial deer for a client and you should be very happy with them.
