the best way to attach a skull to a plaque for a euro mount

im want make a euro mount for my first buck i shot this year. the head hasnt even been started yet. im gonna build the plaque in shop class. im wondering before i get started how do you attach it? plans would be nice to. i already have my design for the plaque but i still need to make the piece to attach the skull

In the back of the skull, just below hole that connects the brain to the spine, the bone is fairly thick. Drill a very small pilot hole there, then just attach to your panel using a 3" drywall screw.

I also put a second one 3/4" from the first one. This will keep them from twisting on the plaque and scratching it with the teeth over time if the single screw loosens up.

I have seen guys use a toggle bolt placed in the brain cavity. That is how skulls unlimited recommends to do it but they do a lot of museum pieces.

I use very thin stainless steel wire.Dont use galvanized, it will break when you twist it together. 1 piece on each side in the back, and 1 piece in the front.I drill 2 very small holes in the board where I need to put the wires through.Through the board, through the holes in the skull, back though the board, twist together and staple on the back of the board. If done properly, it will be extremely hard to see and is very strong. I also use those round, colored felt pads with adhesive on the back, and stick one at the points where the skull contacts the board. I learned this method from a buddy who does custom skull work.

Old thread I realize.

If you want to throw one up quick, stick a zip tie through the holes in the back of the skull. Good want to get them on the wall and out of harm quick. White tie would be better.

Screw in hook would work on the plaque.

This involves no drilling of the skull
