Default I got my 09 buck back.

The taxidermist I used in the past has retired and I tried somebody new this year. I was impressed with his work, price, and the time it took to get the deer back. This guy is not full time so he takes a limited number of deer so he can spend time on each one and not have them for years. I actually got it back about July, he had it for six months. The deer was a 10 point. The second buck is an 11 pointer I killed back in 1995 when I was a teenager. It was my first buck and when I look at it now it makes me wander what potential it had. It was only 2 1/2 years old. Good spread but the tines werent real tall. Had this guy had time to get older he could have been huge. The farm I was hunting at the time was not real big so he would have never lasted had I not taken him. (not that I thought about passing him up as my first buck.)
The mount I had done in 95 has held up very well, I was disppointed when the lady that did it retired.

Anyone who shoots an 11 point as their first buck is doing pretty well. I'm in my 30th season hunting and haven't broken 8 points yet.
